BIOGRAPHY
YEDIDYA FALKSON
(b. 1996, Johannesburg, South Africa.)
1996 - born in Johannesburg, South Africa
2010 - At age 14, Yedidya began to paint at Ricky Burnett Art Studio, which he still attends.
2014 - Matriculated at Torah Academy High School.
2015 - Participated in the "Art Jerusalem" gap year program, in which he studied at the Betzalel School
of Art (painting, sculpture, drawing.) and at the same time studied Philosophy Through Film at the Hebrew
University.
2016 - Returned to South Africa and began studying Fine Art at the University of Johannesburg.
2017 - Managed an Urban Art project, headed by artist Kim Lieberman, in the historic Royal Block of
Graaff-Reinet. During this year, Yedidya also attended Sarah Evian Ceramics Studio.
2018 - Yedidya had his first Solo exhibition, titled "Scenes of the House", curated by Ricky Burnett and
exhibited at the gallery space of Ricky Burnett Art Studio.
2020 - travelled to the United States to paint murals in New York and Florida. Yedidya
collaborated with Pop Art Rabbi Yitzchak Moully. Five murals were painted in Brooklyn, NY, and one
mural in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
2022 - Yedidya had his second solo exhibition, "Flowers and Almonds", at Victoria Yards. This
the collection was an independent show curated and organized by Yedidya.
2022 - Yedidya partook in a group exhibition titled "NEW DAY" at Graham Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.
2022 - Yedidya established the Falkson Collection.
2023 - Yedidya exhibited in a group show titled "The Past and The Future". Curated by Chaya Toron and hosted by Altair Hotel in Miami, Florida.
2023 - Yedidya had his third solo exhibition, "Rabbonim", at the Rabbi Cyril Haris Community Centre.
2023 - Yedidya presented, "Lets Have a Conversation" at Limmud Johannesburg, South Africa.
2024 - Yedidya designed and created all the floats for the Lag B'omer parade in Johannesburg, South Africa.
2024 - Yedidya hosted his fourth exhibition, "Past, Present, Future", at Victoria Yards.
